It is shown that a diamagnetic structure (DS) of the slow solar wind (SW), source which on Sun was chain streamers, arrived at Earth’s orbit December 22, 2015. interacted with magnetosphere under conditions when northward Bz component interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) remained for long time in preceding undisturbed SW. The interaction and sharp change direction to south generated an isolated substorm whose duration depends DS. began midday passage DS into spread east. All phases — growth, expansion, recovery were observed two hours. Variations SW IMF parameters are coincide energy DS, trigger abrupt vertical from north south. coincidence justified by statistical generalizations same 40 % cases long-term observations individual substorms direction.
